Match Schedule
Three games. Three chances to shock the world. Here is when Curaçao takes the pitch.
Why the World Is Watching
Curaçao is an island of 156,000 people in the southern Caribbean — smaller than the stadium they open against Germany in. They have no professional league. Most of their players developed in Dutch academies and chose to represent the island of their roots rather than the Netherlands. And yet, here they are.
This is the smallest nation ever to qualify for a FIFA World Cup. Not by a small margin — by a mile. Iceland's 2018 qualification was a miracle. Curaçao has less than half Iceland's population. Their story is one of identity, pride, and the stubborn refusal to accept that size determines what is possible.
Drawn into Group E alongside Germany, Ecuador, and Ivory Coast, nobody expects them to advance. That is precisely the kind of moment where football writes its most unforgettable chapters.

Don't Know Where Curaçao Is?
You're Not Alone — and You're About To.
A Dutch Caribbean island, 40 miles off the coast of Venezuela. 156,000 people. One UNESCO World Heritage waterfront. The turquoise water that named a liqueur.
